Daan (46) joins us from Dare! Strategy, his own Brand Consultancy which he founded in 2014. Prior to that, he was Strategy Director at DDB Tribal Amsterdam. Daan will lead the Strategy competence within J.Walter Thompson Amsterdam’s Think department and will help to implement the changes the agency started in 2012. His background as a Change Management Consultant will certainly come in useful.
In 2000 he completed his doctoral thesis Protecting brands: how to respond to adverse brand publicity and then worked as a management consultant in the field of change management for more than five years. His role at DDB Tribal Amsterdam brought him back to the field of brands and communication.
Daan is also still involved with the world of academia. He teaches a series of lectures at the Erasmus University entitled Brand Storm, is a guest speaker on various academic subjects and is involved with a wide range of research projects.
